"Debbie's online classes are wonderfully engaging, inspiring and accessible to kids and their parents. Her unique gift of story telling passed on through these fabulous craft sessions encouraged my daughter to make puppets, with the skills she learnt, and use them to create her own stories. Debbie was so encouraging and patient giving the children time to experiment as well as listen and learn'' Rebecca (Parent)
Creative writing classes
For children aged 5 to 8 years.
"My 6 year old daughter has been doing online creative writing and story building classes with Debbie and it's been amazing ! She's learning the art of story writing and various tools and techniques of building up a story. On top of learning these skills, the sessions have done wonders for her mental health. She comes out of the classes, happier than she has ever been. she's a highly imaginative child and the online classes with the lovely Debbie helps channel her imagination in a highly positive way." Saba (parent)

Debbie offers a fun, relaxed online creative writing class, where imagination comes first and confidence grows naturally. Children are encouraged to let their ideas flow freely and discover that getting a story onto paper can be enjoyable, without worrying too much about spelling or grammar.
In these one-to-one online classes Debbie usually starts with a quick story, then engages the child in sharing their thoughts on the story, or encourages their own story ideas. Following the lead of the child and their ideas, Debbie takes notes on these ideas, allowing the child's creative flow. Then at a gentle pace, she helps your child to build a positive relationship with the writing part. These classes are best being taken on a weekly basis, as over the weeks together they can complete a whole story. It’s a gentle, supportive space that works beautifully as out-of-school creative enrichment. A great opportunity for children to be supported at their own level, with activities and guidance tailored to their individual abilities, interests, and confidence so they can thrive and enjoy the creative process at their own pace.

For families, Fruitful Tales offer something truly special — a tangible record of their child’s creativity at a particular moment in time. Capturing their sweet voices and their artwork in an animated piece that should delight the child themselves and their family and friends.
Each finished animation becomes:
-
A personal keepsake capturing your child’s voice, artwork and imagination
-
A celebration of growing confidence and self-expression
-
A reminder that your child’s ideas and stories matter
All that's required is:
. That your child is familiar with one of Debbie's stories, either by a storytelling class within their nursery, school, or online session with Debbie, or even a storytelling video of Debbie's.
. To provide Debbie with a recording of your child re-telling the story and/or singing the stories songs.
. As many pictures they would like to do of the characters from one of the stories.
Then Debbie will get to work creating the bespoke and personal animation, and depending on your child's age and ability and most importantly whatever has been inspired in your child to produce.
The only request is that:
. The recording of your child is done in the quietest setting possible.
. That the artwork is scanned and sent to Debbie as pdf's to ensure the most hi- resolution images
. That your child enjoys all aspects and does what they are inspired to do, perhaps with some gentle encouragement.
. Debbie may ask for some additional images if she feels it would enhance the outcome
Your completed project will be presented to you, via a link on
Debbie's Fruitful Tales YouTube channel and also on a usb stick in a gift box.
